3 Thousand People didn’t die in Puerto Rico in 2 Hurricanes: Trump
More than 3 thousand people had died in the Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. The U.S President Donald Trump had refused this actual matter as a hurricane barrels toward the Carolina. On Thursday, he said in a Tweet as people in Carolina are preparing to be knocked by Hurricane Florence. He added that 3 thousand people didn’t die during the 2 hurricanes that hit Puerto Rico very badly. There weren’t more than 18 deaths when he left the Island after the hit of a storm. As time went by it didn’t go up by much. Then, a long time later, they started to report really large numbers of 3000.
The governor of the Island said intentionally raised the death toll from Hurricane Maria and mentioned at least 2,975 from 64 following a study managed by the researchers at The George Washington University. The CNN also reported similar numbers. The university study accounted for Puerto Ricans who succumbed to the stifling heat and other aftereffects of the storm and had not been previously counted in official figures. Point to be noted that much of the U.S territory was without power for weeks.
Trump also blamed Democrats in his second tweet and said that they are trying in making him look bad. This was done by the Democrats in order to make him look as bad as possible when he was successfully raising Billions of Dollars to help rebuild Puerto Rico. If a person died for any reason, like old age, they just added them onto the list. It should be considered Bad politics. The study was commissioned by Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rosselló (a member of Puerto Rico’s New Progressive Party) and it was conducted by the nonpartisan George Washington University’s Milken Institute School of Public Health.
