6 People Dead in Baltimore School Bus Accident on 1st Nov 2016
On the morning on 1st November 2016, 6 people have been killed and more than 10 injured in Baltimore. Reports indicated that a commuter bus and a school bus struck each other in the southwest of Baltimore. Local reports said that there wasn’t any student in the school bus and the other bus was on its way to pick up first group of local workers. The Chief Operating Officer of Baltimore City Public School Keith Scroggins said that the driver of school bus was working for Baltimore-base AA Affordable Transportation. The bus was on its way to pick up students according to its route for Dallas F. Nicholas St. Elementary School Barclay. Keith further indicated that AA Affordable Transportation offers door-to-door services for special needs and homeless students.
The crash incident took place on Tuesday morning and fortunately no one student was in the bus. Point to be noted that school bus driver had an excellent driving record and investigation authorities are finding expected causes of this crash. It is important that it wasn’t found at the incident place that he tried to use brakes before collision. The eyewitnesses said that the school bus initially struck back of a car then with a concrete pillar before hitting the commuter bus. It has been confirmed that 5 people have been dead on the commuter bus No. 10 MTA and the driver of school bus was also dead in this unfortunate incident. The investigation has been initiated by the National Transportation Safety Board to find the causes of this collision.
