The U.S President has marked 17 years since the massive terrorist attack on U.S territory by during his visit to the Pennsylvania field that became a 9/11 memorial. Trump and his wife Melania arrived to participate in the remembrance in Shanksville on Tuesday. On September 11, 2001, hijackers crashed a California-bound commercial airliner. There were 40 passengers and crew members onboard and they observed about plane hijacking and tried to get control of the airplane. All onboard passengers and crew members were killed in this crash. Point to be noted that more than 3,000 people died on September 11 attack.

The other planes were flown into Twin Towers of New York’s World Trade Centre and the Pentagon. The attacks were planned by Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. Bin Laden was killed in May 2011 during a U.S military operation. Trump, a New York native making his first visit as the U.S President to the Shanksville site. He will focus on honoring the precious lives. The press secretary of White House, Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that the major focus of Trump will be on remembering 9/11 incident.

Trump observed the solemn anniversary for the first time as a U.S President last year. He and the first lady led a moment of silence at the White House accompanied by aides and administration officials at the exact time that hijackers flew the first of two planes into the World Trade Centre’s Twin Towers. Last year, the president also participated in the Pentagon’s 9/11 observance. Vice President Mike Pence will represent the U.S administration there on Tuesday. Trump also blamed Republican George W Bush for not keeping American safe.
