Whataburger Employee Denied to Serve Police Officers in Texas

On 15th September 2015, a website Fort Worth Star-Telegram updated news about an incident that a worker at ‘Whataburger’ in Lewisville, Texas has been fired when the worker refused to serve two policemen. An employee at Whataburger in Lewisville, Texas was fired when he refused to serve two police officers wearing security uniform and he forced them to visit a local Dairy Queen. This incident happened third time in many previous weeks. It is said that on Tuesday, two police officers Michael Macgovern and Cameron Beckham were at their night shift duty, they got late for their dinner and decided to visit Whataburger in Lewisville. But an employee at Whataburger refused them and said ‘we don’t serve here for police officers.

The police officer Beckham said ‘we were shocked by his words. Beckham is working as Milford police officer and also performing duty as a private security officer in his off days, and Macgovern is a reserve deputy in the office of Strawn marshal. After the comments of that employee, Beckham asked his name and both officers left the place. In another account, Macgovern said that we both entered from the front door and just ready to say to get single or double, but a person behind the counter said ‘Sorry, we don’t serve for police officers’. Point to be noted that both officers were in the uniform and didn’t believe to hear like these words. Whataburger also confirmed on 16th September 20115 in their Facebook account that this incident was happened but the employee has been fired from his job.
