A Facebook post published a claim in the month of May 2016 and indicated that corned beef were being made by dead bodies in China. After manufacturing, those products had been sold to Africa. This claim started circulation on most of the social media websites with a number of photographs supposedly showing the frightful operation. Various versions similar to the published post of Facebook have been circulating for past several years. Most of the previous versions showed the supposed dead bodies that were being made into corned beef. There are many posts but if we talk about the post of 2012, it was related to marketing stunt for Resident Evil 6 video game. A butcher shop was selling Fake Human Meat at Smithfield Market in London.

The above mentioned rumor was circulated by many disgraceful and infamous websites. Most of those sites were publishing false news and fake stories such as Information Hood, Nairaland and TuneZNG. It is important that any of the websites didn’t provide strong evidence regarding the story that corned beef with human bodies were being made in China. Any of the website was unable to explain the reasons behind the false information that were shared with irrelevant photographs. The Foreign Foods concept is very common so they can easily become hoax stories, as China food industry was targeted by a number of rumors. The food industry of China is very difficult to understand because thousands of modern, joint venture, farms and multinational companies are using advanced and sophisticated equipments in millions of independent farms and shops.
