Former President & National Leader of Cuba, Fidel Castro Died at 90
The Cuban television has announced on 25th November 2016, the death of former Cuban president Fidel Castro. He was ill for a couple of months and diagnosed in 2006 with diverticulitis, so he resigned from presidency. He handed over his office to his brother Raul in 2008 and died at the age of 90. Fidel Castro became the leader of a revolutionary movement specific to downfall the dictator of Cuba, Fulgencio Batista, who ruled in Cuba for at least 19 year with the handsome support of the United States. At that time, Batista was removed and Castro became popular. It also delivered a nationalist message by a large number of Cubans and celebrated when Castro was victoriously arrived in the capital city, but the United States wasn’t thrilled on the situation.
The government of Castro aligned with the Soviet Union as they promised to deliver essential military and economic support. The United States was contractually librated its only communist administration of the Western Hemisphere. The Los Angeles Times had reported that Castro proved most difficult to take down. Castro experienced contravention in his life because he was considered a compelling national hero and at the other hand, he was a merciless and formidable dictator. So, the New York Times declared him as a Master of Image & Myth. It is important that the Cuban economy was increased amazingly when Castro handed over government to his brother Raul, though it was seemingly a slow process. Most positive actions were taken during the administration of Obama in order to bring good relations between two nations.
