AJ Styles is continuing its rule in the WWE Championship by marking WWE Clash of Champions 2017. It has been considered the start of the elimination from the main event run of Jinder Mahal. Mahal shockingly won the WWE title Backlash in the month of May, since he has been considered one of the crucial points of Smack Down. Most believe that the major reason is that Mahal reached from enhancement talent to world champion and it was considered overnight. It was due to WWE needed to use Mahal as the climax or cornerstone of its struggles to expand business in India. There are some reasons such as the Modern Day Maharaja was unable to achieve the essential targets that WWE has set for him.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter on 7th November edition had indicated that a lengthy rule of Mahal in the WWE Championship actually hasn’t any effect on the revenue of WWE in India. Point to be noted that India has a massive population of 1.3 million people, but there are limited money-making chances for pro wrestling. The Observer also reported that the rule of Mahal hadn’t any kind of positive or negative effect on the business of WWE in the United States. The 13th edition in November of Wrestling Observer Newsletter indicated that Smack Down TV live views were dropped by 13.6% since September 2016 to September 2017. Last month, Mahal also dropped the WWE title not far before the Survivor Series pay-per-view. It was due to there aren’t a handsome amount of viewers interested to watch Mahal in one-on-one with Brock Lesnar.
