The idea of a Space Force from Trump
On Tuesday, the U.S President Trump awarded the Commander-in-Chief Trophy to the football team of U.S Military Academy. The Trophy was awarded in recognition of victories of West Point against the other service academies. Trump pointed out that the U.S military is currently divided into five branches and the Trump administration is actually thinking of a 6th and it might be the Space Force. The U.S President informed guests in the Rose Garden, after ticking off the names of the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard. He added “Does that make sense, the Space Force because the U.S is getting very big in space both militarily and for other reasons. He said that Trump administration is seriously thinking of the Space Force.
The U.S President made a visit In March, at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar near San Diego. President Trump made similar remarks during his visit. During a campaign speech in Washington, Trump broke off from a standard paean regarding the accomplishments of past Americans to conflate NASA and the private organizations that are using federal facilities for their private space developments. He recounted the amazing instance in the month of February when two reusable boosters returned to Cape Canaveral after lifting a SpaceX rocket into space. He said that it looks like a futuristic and beautiful stuff and we have reinvigorated our space program. He added that NASA is back and Mars is waiting for us.
