The U.S President Donald Trump forced for a rapid regulatory withdraw for struggling coal power plants. It has been considered a move to drift a mining industry by offering him a handsome support in 2016. But, it is disturbing other energy companies and some free-market fundamentalists. The White House asked Energy Secretary Rick Perry to take essential steps to keep running both coal and nuclear power plants. The statement of White House to take action came after days of Trump made similar combative moves on international trade and smacking tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and the European Union to protect U.S industries, such as steel and aluminum. The White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in her statement that the U.S President has directed Energy Secretary Rick Perry to take urgent steps to stop the loss of these valuable resources.

Sanders added that President Trump considers keeping American energy resources and infrastructure stronger and secure in order to protect national security. The statement came after 5-months when the federal energy regulators refused the call of Perry to implement his proposal to keep the struggling coal and nuclear power plants running. Point to be noted that the proposal of Perry devastatingly favored mining magnate Bob Murray. The Politico analysis indicated that Murray is an abrupt supporter of Trump and supplying coal to various threatened plants in the Northeast and Midwest. The National Security Council of Trump arranged a meeting on Friday to discuss the draft memo of arguments that why the Trump administration needs to use federal authority to keep running the money-losing power plants.
