CNN Panelist Julia Loffe is a Sick Woman: Trump
The U.S President Donald Trump called a U.S journalist a “sick woman”. She suggested that Trump had radicalized more people than ISIS. The president shouted at GQ correspondent Julia Ioffe for her comments made during a CNN panel discussion. Ioffe earlier said: “This president has one of the things that he really launched his presidential run on is talking about Islamic radicalization. The president has radicalized so many more people than ISIS ever did”. It is important that she later apologized for her comments. She said that she had been speaking “in the heat of the moment”. She tweeted that she clarified and apologized on air, but she’ll say it again here. She added that it has been a very emotional and painful time, but she absolutely shouldn’t have gone with such comments on the air.
Trump said during an interview on Fox News: “Well that must be some kind of a sick woman”. He also defended his repeated attacks on the media. He regularly refers media as “the enemy of the people” and “fake news”. While Ioffe apologized for her overblown comment, she also pointed out anti-semitic attacks had surged since Trump entered the White House. The journalist is Jewish and she said: “It is not a coincidence that the number of anti-semitic attacks has jumped nearly 60 % during 2017. It was the biggest one-year increase in recent history. She added that Trump administration has systematically pulled back resources from countering domestic extremism.
