Trump criticized American Media and called Dangerous and Corrupt during Covid-19 outbreak
U.S President Donald Trump has attacked the media in the midpoint of the widespread coronavirus. He claimed the mainstream American press is dangerous and corrupt as the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases skyrockets in the United States. President Trump tweeted and said, “So much of the Lame-stream Media is writing and broadcasting stories with facts that are made up and knowingly wrong. They are doing it by quoting unnamed sources that simply do not exist”. He added, “These are very dangerous & corrupt people, who will do anything to win. NAME YOUR SOURCES”! Trump continued to bombast against the fake media in a series of tweets. The official estimates have indicated the country’s total Covid-19 cases at more than 104,000.
Analysts have predicted those numbers would increase during the next weeks as more testing is done across the country. Trump also claimed that journalists have become so prevalent for allegedly making up sources in order to entirely misinterpret a narrative or story. He said, “Lamestream Media should be forced to reveal sources, very much as they did in the long ago past. If they did that, the media would be trusted again, and Fake News would largely be a thing if the past”! Trump has attended multiple press conferences during the recent days in which he has lambasted the media for its coverage of the widespread Covid-19 and governors who weren’t appreciative of the administration’s efforts to battle the spread of the novel coronavirus.
President Trump earlier said he had encouraged Vice President Mike Pence not to call certain governors. Those governors include Washington’s Jay Inslee. It is noteworthy that Inslee frequently complained about the response from the White House over the Covid-19 epidemic. Point to be noted that the U.S Congress has meanwhile passed a historic $2 trillion economic stimulus bill which includes direct payments to most Americans as experts warned the country was already facing a recession and could head into a potential depression as the pandemic continues shutting society down in states throughout the US.
