Pima County Democrats Posted & Deleted a Controversial Advertisement for July 4 Event

The Arizona Pima County Democratic Party posted a Tweet and then deleted it. The Tweet involved a controversial advertisement for the Women’s March event on 4th July Independence Day. The caption of a screenshot of the local Democratic Party’s retweet said F***k the 4th. See you at Reid Park. It was referencing Reid Park near downtown Tucson.

The advertised picture of this Tweet also said Tucson Women’s March. It also said Let’s Mourn with F***k the 4th. The screenshot also indicated that the event is taking place at 7 pm. It is still unconfirmed how long the post was alive, but the Pima County Democratic Party ultimately deleted the post. On Friday, the party apologized for its poor taste in a short Twitter thread.

The thread said they were hoping to share the event in their haste they used the graphic offered by the event manager. The party confirmed in other tweets that the party is still supporting the event. One Tweet said with the ending that their posting of the graphic disturbed some people. The party also urged people to save their outrage for the women in this state who can die from botched abortions.

Arizona Democratic Party Apologized for its Post

A Tweet said Arizona right now isn’t a perfect place for a woman. The Arizona Democratic Party apologized and said the party doesn’t approve of the language used for the publicity of the event. The party earlier said it believes there is clear room for both criticism and celebration. It is directly related to the freedom of Americans.

The Republican Party of the State said the Twitter post was undoubtedly disrespectful. The statement also said the Democrats aren’t attempting to isolate the fact they are the real party of extremists. Moreover, there’s some refusal news on this 4th of July. Around 84% of US adults said the country is following the wrong track and 78% mentioned the economy is poor.

Republicans Believe the Country is Moving in the Wrong Direction

A poll also said the national disappointment is bipartisan. The survey said 90% of Republicans and 76% of Democrats believe the country is moving in the wrong direction. His approval rating is stuck in the 30s as only 29% of Americans are supporting the inflation handling of President Biden. Republicans are moving against President Biden as they believe he is the worst American President in decades.
