On Monday, the former King of Spain Juan Carlos attended the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. Juan Carlos concisely met up with his family in May. He met with his family after a 2-year self-applied dismissal into money laundering and tax fraud allegations in 2020. The former King of Spain, his son King Felipe VI, and his wife Queen Letizia attended Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.

The appearance of the former King along with his son and daughter-in-law marked the first time since he left Spain. However, Juan Carlos was once blessed for his role in the transition to democracy in Spain. His son distanced himself from his father since he didn’t get favor from Juan Carlos in 2014. King Felipe and Queen Letizia appeared at the funeral event to officially represent Spain.

However, Juan Carlos received a private invitation due to the event was related to honoring the late Queen. It is important that both Juan Carlos and Queen Elizabeth were children of a great-grandchild Queen Victoria. Members of the other European royal families including Belgium, Monaco, and Denmark appeared along with the Spanish royals.

State Gun Carriage Moved Queen’s Funeral Box

The Queen’s funeral box was placed back onto the state gun carriage to pass Buckingham Palace. It was the last time the box journeyed to Wellington Arch at Hyde Park following the service at Westminster Abbey. Then the funeral box made the journey to her final funeral place at Windsor Castle. King Charles, Queen Camilla, and all the family members joined the coffin’s procession.

Moreover, Queen’s family members were scheduled to reach St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle at 3:50 pm. At least 800 people were expected to participate there in the committal service of the late Queen. The event has shown a more devoted feel compared to the state funeral. It is noteworthy that the guests present at Westminster Abbey were not scheduled to appear for the ceremony at Windsor.

King Charles Announced Essential Changes

Meanwhile, the benches and seats were filled with some of the people who personally knew the Queen. Those people include those who worked on her estates. King Charles III addressed the UK people last week for the first time since the passing of the Queen. It is important that Queen Elizabeth died at the age of 96 on Thursday, September 8, 2022.

73-years old King Charles announced and shared some essential changes. He said Prince William had inherited the titles of Prince of Wales and Kate Middleton Princess of Wales. However, their 3 children are now the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in line to the royalty. They have now changed from Princes and Princess of Cambridge to become Princes and Princess of Wales.

Consequently, they are now Prince George of Wales, Prince Louis of Wales, and Princess Charlotte of Wales. On Monday, more than 2,000 people from all around the world gathered at Westminster Abbey. They appeared to honor the late Queen II, who peacefully passed away at Balmoral Castle in Scotland on September 8. Her family members were set to arrive with the funerary box 3 times.

The late Queen’s funeral box moved into Westminster Abbey and then journeyed at least a mile to Wellington Arch. It finally reached Windsor Castle where the Queen laid the rest. The proceedings started at 10:30 am local time when her funeral box was moved from Westminster Hall. The box journeyed about 500 feet within the Palace of Westminster complex to Westminster Abbey.
