A Bill Signed by Trump to expand Private Care for Veterans
The U.S President Donald Trump has signed a bill into law. It would allow veterans more options in finding doctors outside the controversial system of Veterans Affairs. It has been considered an important move in decreasing wait times and providing care improvement by handling more patients in the private sector. The U.S President admired the legislation at a Rose Garden event in the White House. He said that it is fulfilling his promise fixing the Department of Veterans Affairs by bringing accountability. It will also offer private care to veterans if they feel unsatisfied with the health care operation of the government. He added that he said during his presidential campaign, why can’t they just go see a doctor than standing in line for days and weeks? Now they will be able to see a doctor.
The plan of terminating 51 billion U.S dollars would extend a VA care-providers program for covering families of veterans. Point to be noted that the U.S Senate approved the bill last month with a 92-5 vote and the U.S House passed with a 347-70 vote. The new law will provide veterans access to private care when they discover lengthy wait or due to expecting improper health treatment. It will obviously increase costs, so some legislators have warned that it might put the VA at risk with budget shortfalls during next year. Some U.S Senators are looking to pay for the law by adding new funds in order to cover the VA private care program. But, the White House administration is silently working to block the plan.
