Americans are Safe & Protected from Zika Virus : Researchers
A number of trickery theories were found about the spreading disease of Zika virus across South America and around the world in 2016. One of the most circulated rumors posted on Twitter in the month of May 2016 and claimed that Americans are protected from the virus. Any scientific body from the United States or from all around the world didn’t announce that Americans were protected from Zika virus. Point to be noted that the Center for Disease Control has announced a warning to Americans that are traveling to Central America, Pacific Islands and Mexico. The Local mosquito transmission of Zika virus infection in Costa Rica reported that majority of mosquitoes in the area has been infected with Zika virus and these mosquitoes are rapidly spreading virus among the people.
It is important that Zika virus is initially spread by these infected mosquitoes. The Center for Disease Control advised that travelers to Costa Rica should protect themselves from mosquito bites. Point to be noted that Zika infected mosquitoes don’t live above 2,000 meters due to environmental conditions. The Center for Disease Control & Prevention indicated that at least 500 Americans have been infected with this disease and most of the researchers warned at the Global Virus Network meeting that this disease will affect more Americans along-with the West Nile Virus. The researchers from George Washington University, the University of Georgia and the Johns Hopkins University published a study in the scientific journal Vaccine regarding Zika virus on 24th May 2016 and said that Americans are safe and protected from Zika virus.
