Blue Cut Fire in Southern California burned a large amount of Forest

A small stroke fire started in the rocky area of San Bernardino, southern California. The fire was started 60 miles east of the Los Angeles in the Cajon Pass and burned a large number of areas within a day. Firefighters said that the fire had extraordinary wildness. The operation commander Mike Wakoski said that “I have never seen this kind of extreme fire behavior in my 40 years fire-fighting experience. The California Department of Forestry & Fire Protection spokesperson Glenn Barley said that current fire incident was massive in this year after a destructive fire season took place in 2015. The current incident of “Blue Cut” fire was one of the several fire incidents happened in California in 2016, but it was not an ordinary fire incident.

The fire destructed a large amount of area at the 60 miles east of Los Angeles. The authorities indicated that 10 air tankers, 15 helicopters and at least 1300 firefighters from army participated to control the situation. Due to the Blue Cut fire, the Governor of California Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency on 16th August 2016. After a heavy wall of flames in San Bernardino County, the frustration took place in most of the firefighters. The major factor of their frustration was due to they were continuously retreating against advancement of wall of fire. The spokesperson of San Bernardino County Fire Department said that they have a strike team and major priorities are to save lives, properties and major infrastructure.
