Body of Missing Gabby Petito discovered near Bridge-Teton National Forest
Teton County coroner Brent Blue informed a news outlet that a search for missing 22-years old Gabby Petito was underway in Moosey, Wyoming. The authorities claimed they found a body at the Bridge-Teton National Forest. The FBI and other local law enforcement agencies started the search in the national forest on Saturday. Petito visited the area on 27th August. Moreover, local news helicopters are broadcasting images of a white tent set up in a remote area, surrounded by investigators and search teams with horses. Point to be noted that Petito is one of 3 people missing near Grand Teton Park this summer. A deputy coroner arrived at the Moran Vista campsite in the national forest with vehicles carrying search dogs, left shortly after.
Police were letting vehicles out of the dotted camping area but turned away new arrivals at the entrance on Spread Creek Rd. Petito and her 23-year-old fiancé, Brian Laundrie, were reportedly traveling from New York to Oregon in a white 2012 Ford Transit and it was spotted near Spread Creek in late August. However, Petito’s family reported her missing on 11th September, weeks after she last spoke with her mother. YouTube bloggers say they spotted Gabby Petito’s converted white van near Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park two days after the missing woman’s family say they last heard from her. A blogger Jenn Bethune posted a video on YouTube and said, “We came across a white van that had Florida plates. A small white van, we were going to stop and say hi because we’re from Florida too, but the van was completely dark”.
Jenn added, “There was nobody there, so we decided to continue on our way”. Jenn and Kyle Bethune were traveling down a dirt path at the park and spotted the van twice, once on the way into the park and another time on the way out. The bloggers shot the video while documenting their family’s cross-country trip. Kyle Bethune said, “It’s kind of freaky for a late Saturday evening. But we just kind of had a brain fart. Oh, there’s that van”. Another reported sighting was made by traveler Shannon Baker, who said she and her husband saw the van while driving through the Jenny Lake area of Grand Teton on 25th August. It is noteworthy that Petito’s family said they spoke with her via FaceTime on 25th August.
