The U.S President Donald Trump said, “Women were outraged” at the way his Supreme Court pick was treated during the confirmation process, in spite of continuous angry demonstrations against Brett Kavanaugh in Washington. Trump told journalists aboard Air Force One after the appointment of Kavanaugh to the highest court of the United States. Trump said he was 100% certain that Christine Blasey Ford pointed out the wrong person as her alleged assaulter.
Angry shouts of “Shame! Shame! Shame!” rang out during the vote in the U.S Senate gallery during vice president Mike Pence was presiding. A large number of women could be seen outside of the Supreme Court after the vote. They were openly weeping or chanting in frustration and anger as Kavanaugh was being sworn in by Chief Justice John Roberts. Hundreds of people flooded the steps of the court building and police tried to push them away.
Trump watched voting from his private cabin in the Air Force One. He flashed his both thumbs and tweeted, “I applaud and congratulate the U.S Senate for confirming our GREAT NOMINEE”. He also blamed Democrats of charging a “horrible, horrible attack that nobody should have to go through” on Kavanaugh during the confirmation process in the U.S Senate. Trump said that Kavanaugh will be a “totally brilliant Supreme Court justice for many years”. He also admired his temperament, incredible past and outstanding years on the court. The U.S President congratulated Kavanaugh after a terrible fight on confirmation.
