“Chumlee” Arrested for Sexual Assault in Las Vegas
Austin Lee Russell is a famous Pawn Stars personality and most famous to his fans as “Chumlee”. He has been arrested on 9th March 2016 in a late-night raid at his home managed by the police near Las Vegas. According to the Las Vegas Metro Police, Chumlee would face a number of charges regarding the sexual assault undertaken in the raid by police. The Metro Police further said that they were serving a search warrant for the investigation of sexual assault and they discovered marijuana, methamphetamine and a number of firearms at his home located in the Southwest Valley, Las Vegas. It is important that news outlet clearly mentioned that the sexual assault warrant was not supposedly being served for Russell, but didn’t indicated the specific party name of warrant as the suspect of this special raid.
Police indicated that he will be faced 19 drug belonging charges and one proprietary of prohibited gun recovered from a person, but Russell was not charged in the case of sexual assault. The spokesman of Metro Police Officer Larry Hadfield said that this raid managed and started investigation after a complaint registered by a woman. He confirmed that Russell will face 19 drug belonging charges and one for owning a gun by a prohibited person. The Washington Post also published news regarding the late-night raid by police at the home of Russell. Another article also mentioned that any news outlet hasn’t yet received the comments regarding the arrest of Chumlee. It is important that Russell was not appeared on his first appearance in the court on 10th March 2016.
