The Hollywood celebrities and high-profile leaders from Democratic Party are teaming up with the United Auto Workers; it was due to support Big Labor gain footing in Southern states in the U.S. point to be noted that a deal won by the UAW with Japanese-based Nissan Motor Co. it is allowing at least 4 thousand full-time employees to vote on either to manage as a labor union at its plant in Canton, Mississippi. A supporter of Sanders and Hollywood star, Danny Glover visited to meet with workers at a UAW office in Canton. It is important that he was failed 2016 presidential bid as a Democrat. Some of the workers met with Glover were those who planned to vote in the election. The voting was planned to be held on Thursday and Friday.

This move would make it the biggest public effort organized by labor to gain around in the Deep South since the election of Donald Trump. Since 2012, the UAW has been struggling to organize the plant. Sanders and civil rights activists also participated March in Mississippi and they blamed Nissan for irritating to threaten workers from unionizing. But, the company has refused the allegations. Nissan has indicated that UAW representation hasn’t been considered in the best interest of Nissan Canton or its employees. Previously, the Union leaders had their targeted plants in the South. This attempt of UAW was to organize Tennessee facility of Nissan. The UAW has blamed the Canton plant for not protecting its workers about safety and for depending on contract workers.
