Did Trump Jr. met with Saudi and UAE Prince during election campaign 2016?

The eldest son of the U.S President, Donald Trump Jr. met with an envoy in the month of August 2016 representing the crown prince of Saudi Arabia and crown prince of United Arab Emirates. The meeting The New York Times first reported the meeting on Saturday and it was also confirmed by an attorney representing Trump Jr. The New York Times added that it has been considered the alleged meeting was a chance for the envoy to offer their help to the presidential campaign of Donald Trump. The newspaper also mentioned that the alleged meeting took place on 3^rd August 2016 and it was managed by the founder (former head of private military contractor) of Blackwater, Erik Prince.

The co-founder of an Israeli consulting firm, Joel Mamel also attended the alleged meeting. The attorney of Trump Jr., Alan Futerfas said that nothing happened in the meeting and the alleged meeting was arranged prior to the U.S presidential election campaign 2016. Futerfas added in a statement that Trump Jr. met with Erik Prince, George Nader, and Joel Zamel. They just pitched Mr. Trump Jr. on a social media platform or marketing strategy, but he wasn’t interested and nothing else happened at the end of it. The New York Times reported that a company connected to Zamel also worked on a proposal for a covert multimillion-dollar online manipulation campaign in order to help Donald Trump by utilizing a large number of fake social media accounts. George Nader informed Trump Jr. that crown prince of the UAE and Saudi Arabia were looking to help Donald Trump in his presidential election campaign 2016.
