A number of those disappointed by the results of U.S Presidential Election 2016 said that they were going to consider moving to another country. Hillary Clinton said that the choice of the Non-U.S locale was possibly New Zealand. She was speaking at a Monday event in Auckland and said that she had received invitations to move to the country and pointed out the New Zealand Herald. She added that she must say she really did appreciate the offers.
Hillary Clinton joked that it gave them some thought. She said that she is going to stay put due to we have work to do in my country as well. Hillary Clinton pointed out that she has retired from politics and she stressed, “I am very much in a mode as an active citizen and when I see things that are going to be harmful to my country, harmful to the leadership of my country in the world. It may be harmful to my grandchildren, I’m going to keep speaking out”. It is important that Hillary Clinton also took a moment to commend New Zealand for recently electing its third female prime minister.
