Hillary Clinton Supported for Barry Goldwater in 1964 Presidential Campaign
The former first lady Hillary Clinton is currently Secretary of State, U.S Senator and the U.S Presidential candidate. She has some meaningful experience and acknowledgement in the conservative politics in her youth. Hillary Clinton has described that she proud to her father as conservative Republican. She indicated that she was a young Republican and sponsor of Barry Goldwater (Arizona Senator). Goldwater was considered as the most renowned conservative Republican at that time. Goldwater was defeated in 1964 against Lyndon Johnson in the Presidential campaign. She further said that “ I was a college junior and I became a Goldwater Girl to sponsor and support the anti-war campaign of Eugene McCarthy in 1968.
The published meme circulated widely on most of the social media websites in affiliation with the holiday on the Martin Luther King Day. The published and shared post also indicated about Clinton’s political interest in her young age and described that she also voted and campaigned actively for Barry Goldwater. He also made overturn the Civil Rights Act and isolated the nation. When we tried to find out the correctness about it, we found that these statements are more overstated versions regarding the Goldwater and Hillary Clinton. It is correct that Hillary Clinton supported Barry Goldwater in the Presidential election in 1964 and Goldwater also voted against the 1964 Act of Civil Rights. But, it is considered false that Hillary Clinton voted for Goldwater and he promised to split up America.
