How To Optimize Your Business Higher On Google Search

How To Optimize Your Business Higher On Google Search
Listen to this article

Google is the most popular search engine in the world, and people use it to find everything from recipes to smartphones. It’s no surprise that so many businesses depend on Google Search for traffic. But to get your business higher on Google Search results pages (SERPs), you have to follow some specific rules and techniques. In this article, I will discuss seven ways you can improve your ranking on Google Search: improving local SEO, making sure your website is responsive, adding text to images, making better content than your competitors, publishing long-form content, utilizing schema markup and finally writing more meta descriptions and title tags. Improve your Local SEO

  • Improving your Local SEO:
  • To rank higher in local search results, you need to focus on optimizing your business for Local SEO. This means that when potential customers search for businesses like yours, they will find yours at the top of the first page of Google’s local results.

To optimize your business for Local SEO, there are two main things you should do:

  • Claim and verify your business listing on Google My Business (GMB).
  • Improve your citations with other websites that have links back to you from their website.

Make Sure Your Website Is Responsive

It is important to make sure that your website is responsive. This means that it will adapt to different screen sizes, from desktop and laptop computers to tablets and smartphones. If your site is not mobile-friendly, it can negatively affect your ranking on Google search results pages.

If you want to be higher up in the rankings for a specific keyword or phrase (e.g., ‘web developer’), then make sure your website is properly designed and optimized for mobile devices as well as desktop computers. You will be competing against other companies who have made this effort, so if yours isn’t optimized for all devices then you’ll lose out on traffic from smartphone users who would have seen you otherwise

Add Text To Images

  • Use alt text. Alt text is a tag that describes the image to search engines. It should be short and descriptive of the picture, but it should not include any keywords or phrases that are not relevant to the image itself.
  • Use title tags for each page on your website and make sure they’re unique for every page you create (for example, if you have multiple pages about different products, each product’s page should have its unique title). Your title tag should include your company name and main keyword(s), as well as any other relevant keywords

Make Better Content Than Your Competitors

To get your business higher on Google, you need to create better content than your competitors. You can do this by ensuring that your content is unique and useful for your audience, and uses keywords.

You should also use images, videos, and infographics to make the information more engaging. Use fresh, relevant, and up-to-date information to keep people coming back for more.

Publish Long-Form Content

Long-form content is better than short-form for several reasons:

  • Longer content means more information, which Google likes. More information means more search results to show the searcher. This increases your chances of being found on the first page of Google’s results (the first few pages are where most people look).
  • Longer content is also more interesting to read because it’s longer! People will appreciate having more words to explore, and they’ll also be able to skim through quickly if they only want certain bits of info. It’s a win/win!
  • Longer pieces are generally easier to share on social media and other networks than shorter ones—there’s less work involved in sharing something when there isn’t much text or images involved in the first place; there’s no need for additional formattings like hashtags or truncated URLs either. So not only does long-form help people find your site by increasing SEO; it makes it easier for them spread the word about what you have written as well!

Utilize Schema Markup

Schema Markup is the method to tell search engines what your content is about. It’s a way of communicating with the crawlers that are crawling the web, and it helps them understand the topic of your page so they can give it better rankings. If you’re not using Schema Markup for your website, you’re missing out on potentially thousands (if not millions) of extra visitors each month!

For example, I wanted to write an article about “these few tips to make money online”. Without schema markup, my article might rank highly in Google because many people are searching for this phrase: “how to make money online” but they aren’t necessarily finding exactly what they want when they click my ad on Google Search Results Page (SERP). However, if I added some structured data markup such as [[block quote]]{{Your_SEO_Keyword}}[[/blockquote]], then Google would know that this page was about making money online and could give it more attention because now its title tag makes sense to searchers who might be looking specifically for tips on how to get rich quick with no effort whatsoever!

This has some huge implications: if enough people start using coding languages like Schema Markup across their websites broadly then suddenly everyone gets better search results which means everyone gets more traffic from Google which means everyone makes more money!

Write More Meta Descriptions And Title Tags

  • Meta descriptions and title tags are the text that appears in search results. They help users decide if they want to click on your link, so it’s important to make sure the information you’re providing is relevant and helpful for searchers.*
  • Meta descriptions are especially important, as they are the only text that is shown in search results.* When Google crawls your site and indexes its content, it will look at all of your meta descriptions first to determine what should be shown in a given search result.

Audit Your Backlinks Regularly

Your backlinks are the foundation of your SEO. By auditing your backlinks regularly, you can keep an eye on their quality and identify any issues that could be affecting your search rankings. This is especially important if you have recently implemented link-building campaigns or made changes to your website that might affect its performance.

It’s essential to check the type of backlinks you’re receiving because some types are more effective than others when it comes to improving organic CTRs and increasing SERP rankings. For example, links from high-quality sites tend to have a greater impact than those from low-quality ones. Additionally, having many different sources linking to content on one page will help boost the page’s popularity with search engines while also giving site visitors more reasons not only to click through but stay on the site longer as well! That said though…

You Can Increase Your Google Ranking By Doing These Things

The first thing you should know about Google search results is that they are ranked using a complex algorithm. In layman’s terms, it means that Google determines your ranking based on how many other sites link to you, how important those links are, and more. The higher you rank for any given keyword or phrase, the more traffic (and conversions) your website will receive.

Just like in any other industry where businesses compete for customers, getting your business higher on Google search is an important part of long-term success.
