Joe Biden again insisted he had defeated President Donald Trump
Presidential Election 2020 considered the most attractive and battling event in the US. Democrat Joe Biden has urged people to be patient to allow every vote to be counted in the US presidential election. He also insisted that he was confident he had defeated Donald Trump. The former vice president delivered his words on Thursday evening and said that Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Arizona states should determine the next US President for the Oval Office. He said, “In America, the vote is sacred. It’s how people in this nation express their will. And it is the will of the voters, not anything else, that chooses the president of the United States of America”.
Biden also said, “So, each ballot must be counted. And that’s what we’re going to see going through now. And that’s how it should be. Democracy is sometimes messy. But that patience has been rewarded now for more than 240 years, the system of governance has been the envy of the world”. Democrat Joe Biden was standing close to his running mate Kamala Harris. Point to be noted that the officials in a handful of states continued to count the votes cast. 4 states will determine the outcome of the election including Georgia, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Nevada. Biden didn’t mention the Trump campaign, but his insistence that every vote should be counted soon represents a rebuke of his opponent. Trump campaign has planned to stop voting in Pennsylvania and Georgia.
Trump campaign is also looking for a recount in Wisconsin because Biden won the state by around 20,000 votes. Some reports have indicated that Trump’s supporters have harassed election officials in some cities. A group of armed people in Phoenix and Arizona tried to enter a voting center. At least a dozen people were arrested after demonstrations against the President in Portland, Seattle, and Minneapolis. Biden said, “We continue to feel very good about where things stand. We have no doubt that when the count is finished, Senator Harris and I will be declared the winners. So I ask everyone to stay calm – all the people to stay calm. The processes are working, the count is being completed. And we’ll know very soon. So, thank you all for your patience. But you got to count the votes”.
