Joe Biden has won Wisconsin State with a significant margin
The former Vice President Joe Biden has won the Wisconsin state in the 2020 presidential elections against President Donald Trump. It is a remarkable victory in the Democratic nominee’s bid to unseat his Republican opponent. The state has 10 electoral votes, raising Biden’s current tally of reported votes in the Electoral College to 237. Point to be noted that at least 270 electoral votes are essential to winning the White House. The final ballot count has indicated that Biden has won the state by 1,630,542 votes and Trump received 1,610,007 votes. The state has confirmed following public statements from local officials that their vote count had been completed. The administrator of the Wisconsin Elections Commission made the announcement in an interview with NBC News.
The announcement said all of the ballots have been counted. It was later reported one small district of about 300 voters remained uncounted, but it would not be enough to change the results. Local officials also said that recounts in Wisconsin have typically yielded on a few dozen or so changes in ballots. It is noteworthy that Wisconsin was one of the key battlegrounds in which both candidates were fighting for a victory. The other major states include Michigan, Georgia, and Pennsylvania and still counting ballots the day after Election Day. President Trump attempted to claim victory as Biden called for entire votes to be counted. An estimated 3.3 million ballots had been counted in Wisconsin by Wednesday afternoon with Biden leading by .624%.
President Trump 2020 campaign manager, Bill Stepien issued a statement and said, “Despite ridiculous public polling used as a voter suppression tactic, Wisconsin has been a razor-thin race as we always knew that it would be”. He also added, “There have been reports of irregularities in several Wisconsin counties which raise serious doubts about the validity of the results. The President is well within the threshold to request a recount and we will immediately do so”. The Governor of Wisconsin Scott Walker said that a recount was unlikely to produce a significant change in the outcome of the state’s elections in a statement among reports showing Biden had won.
