Kamala Harris collected Thousands in Donations from Donald and Ivanka

A new report has indicated that the U.S President Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka repeatedly donated to Kamala Harris during her rise in California politics. The donation was offered to support the Democratic senator as she vied to become the state’s top cop. The Washington newspaper McClatchy reported on Monday that Trump first donated to Harris in 2011 as she was running for attorney general. The donation amounted to $5,000. He then donated another $1,000 to her re-election campaign in 2013. The newspaper said Ivanka Trump also donated thousands of dollars to the Democratic senator. She reportedly donated $2,000 for re-election efforts to Harris.

A spokesperson for the senator’s 2020 presidential campaign said in a statement to McClatchy. He confirmed donations from the president to her previous campaigns. It was also said that Harris eventually donated the total sum of Trump’s contributions to a non-profit Central American advocacy group. Trump’s support for the Democrat came at the same time as he was attacking Barack Obama on a variety of cable news shows and online. She claimed that he was not actually a U.S citizen and lacked the necessary qualifications to serve in the White House. The political views of the president and Harris are in stark contrast and both have exchanged harsh criticisms since Trump assumed the Oval Office.

He claimed in 2018 that Harris was responsible for supporting the animals of MS-13 after the Los Angeles-based gang started drawing national attention for a series of violent crimes. Harris informed The Root last week she believed Trump was racist. She said, “I don’t think you can reach any other conclusion”. Much of the Trump family’s political donations went to Democrats across the country before the president expressed interest in running for the White House. A majority of his contributions to political campaigns were directed to Democrats throughout his entire career. The donations were started increasing in 2010. Harris managed to raise an impressive $1.5 million in donations within the first 24 hours of launching her White House bid against Donald Trump.
