Kidnappers Found at “Target” in Houston
A Facebook user published a story regarding “Target” in Houston by announcing a warning to customers about the threats of alleged potential kidnappers for evocating local retail establishments. This post indicated that “She was standing in a checkout lane with her little daughter and toddler son. She experienced that two women encircled her too closer. One of the two women started conversation regarding her children and she felt uncomfortable, and observed that something is wrong in this situation. She made a big deal as a reaction of her discomfort and used her shopping cart in making a blockage between her children and those women, and turned threat into kidding. Most of the readers assumed that those two women were kidnappers and threatening her. This story initiated alarming situation for most of the younger women reading this story.
It seems that published story includes some frightening techniques and supposed the imagination of the author. This claim is much similar to those that were circulated frequently on most of the social media websites by showing a warning regarding the presence of kidnappers. Most of them advised to women not to go for shopping lonely at such places due to increase in the problem involving kidnappers, at large chain stores. We tried to find out the authenticity of this story and contacted the Facebook page author. We also contacted Houston Police for confirmation. The spokesman of Houston Police confirmed that this kind of danger only reported in the news, but nobody reported to police regarding such kinds of incidents or presence of such elements in the area of Houston.
