Legendary Rock & Roll Musician Chuck Berry Died at 90
On the afternoon of 18th March 2017, long credited as one of the great innovators and founders of Rock and Roll, musician Chuck Berry found dead at his home in St. Charles County, Missouri. The Charles County Police Department posted an announcement on its official Facebook page. The statement mentioned that the police officers responded to an emergency medical call at the home of Berry, but the cause of death wasn’t mentioned in the statement. His amazing recording “Johnny B. Goode” was popularly featured among the expressive & illustrative items of human civilization launched into space in 1977 by the Voyager spacecraft of NASA. He also wrote, performed and recorded some classical Rock and Roll hits, such as “Sweet Little Sixteen, Roll Over Beethoven, Too Much Monkey Business and Maybellene”.
Berry was born on 18th October 1926 at Charles Anderson Edward Berry in St. Louis, Missouri. He took to music at a young age from performing with local jazz musician Ira Harris in his high school’s annual talent show. He left school at the age of 17 and joined a bad crowd, so he was arrested for robbery and served 3 years in a juvenile reformatory. He was then released due to his excellent behavior and returned to St. Louis and worked at a number of jobs. He got marry with his love Themetta Suggs (Toddy). He then picked up guitar against and played in nightclubs to earn money. He wrote & recorded “Maybellene” in 1955 in Chicago. This item hit the top of the R&B charts and got number 5 in the same year on pop charts. He was 90 years old and left behind his wife & four children.
