Marine Commander Charged for Shooting Chattanooga Gunman
On 1st August 2015, a Navy commander will be charged for firing against a Chattanooga gunman. A website published a blog post with a headline “What is happening to Navy officer from Chattanooga shooting”. According to this post, a Navy officer Lt. Timothy will be charged for using a personal weapon against a militant Muhammad Abdul Aziz who killed four U.S Marines and one sailor in an attack on 16th July 2015 at a military area in Chattanooga.
This post was copied from an article of website named Western Journal and this website copied this article from Navy Times website. Navy Times discussed about the investigation of Navy regarding a shooting allegation on a Naval officer but this article didn’t mentioned the name of Lt. Timothy White for charges. This article described that a Navy officer and a Marine are involved in killing a militant or gunman who killed five Marines in Chattanooga last week. Most of the military officials know the reality regarding this incident.
It is still not clear that gunman Muhammad Abdul Aziz killed five U.S Marines and a sailor at Navy Operational Support Center, and then he was targeted by the naval officer on 16th July in Chattanooga. The U.S Defense Secretary Carter also said that the Pentagon can give permission specific military personal to carry arms in some specific conditions and to secure military sites. Carter redirected military commanders and civilian leaders in a memo on 29th July, to suggest more effective security plans in providing security facilities. He said that shooting incident in Chattanooga depicted susceptibility of military sites and other facilities for the troops. On 2nd August 2015, a Navy representative published on Facebook that this matter is in review, but still no charges yet imposed against naval personal.
