Meta Donated $55K to Queen Creek Unified to Boost Robotics Programs

The parent company of Instagram and Facebook, Meta, has contributed around $55,000 to Queen Creek Unified. The key objective of this donation is to boost the robotics programs in two junior high schools in the district. The teacher of robotics in a junior high school, Michael Larson, issued a statement. He said this donation would support the growth of their programs.

Larson said it will motivate to bring new students into the kingdom of engineering and technology. He also thanked Meta for participating and funding in the education of the Queen Creek community. Larson added that the donation of Meta would provide significant support to build future tech leaders. However, this robotics program is also part of the modules.

The curriculum is dedicated to strengthening the school’s science, engineering and mathematics, technology, and STEM courses for students. However, Queen Creek schools have earned a significant attraction in the growth of double-digit students. Most robotics programs have encountered a reputation for lifting above their strength.

Queen Creek is Dedicated to Robotics Programs

The outgoing president of the Governing Board, Ken Brague, said the school will focus to build on this specific strategy. He said the Board has finished an amazing robotics program. Brague added that it needs volunteers and engineering parents to build up these types of environments for better interests. He added that it is another part of the community to benefit kids and have extraordinary outcomes for robotics teams.

Brague also said the kids could become more educated in robotics at the junior high school level. Meanwhile, the district is authorizing them to emphasize at annual statewide robotics contests. It is typically a high school contest but a middle high school robotics team contributed and they performed well. Brague added that there are also 3rd graders performing coding with robots excellently.

It was also said that the state is teaching coding and robotics from early elementary school years. Most of them boosted their performances to more advanced techs in high schools. Moreover, Brague also attended his final meeting as a board member of the Queen Creek School. He admired the town’s dedication to establishing partnerships. The town is now developing relationships with businesses with donation from Meta.

Brague also said Queen Creek is massively engaged in the community to surpass and understand its neighbors. He confirmed having all of these industries coming into town. There are a large number of different chances and he admires having partnerships with the surrounding area. However, the town’s intern students and professionals can now come and speak.

He is seeking to continue supporting those partnerships on the behalf of students. Brague is hopeful about bringing relationships and announced his joining The Queen Creek Schools Education Foundation.

Perry Berry (Queen Creek Unified Superintendent) stressed the importance of partnerships for the schools with companies such as Meta. He said this extraordinary funding will bring unique chances for students. He also thanked Meta for their partnership with Queen Creek.
