New Kind of Anti-Treatment Lice Spread in 25 U.S States
In the month of August 2015, a number of websites updated their sites adding an article about new kinds of anti-treatment head lice are being spread named Super Lice, in a number of states in the U.S. on 18th August 2015, a website ‘TIME’ also published an article indicating that a new kind of head lice have been found in 25 states and these lice are anti-treatment. These super lice are spreading very fast in schools and their families. This news spread as the fire in a jungle on Facebook, Twitter and a number of social media websites.
It is also said that Kyong S. Yoon an assistant professor in the Biological Sciences and Environmental Sciences Program at Illinois University is working on the research for lice since 2000. He said that he has initially found at least 109 samples from more than 25 states. He has found that most of these lice samples are considered as Super Lice because these are treatment-resistant. The articles corresponded with a press release on 18th August 2015 published by American Chemical Society. But, they declared that these Super Lice have no new threat. Kyong S. Yoon also added that we have found the solution to recover this problem and these lice can be controlled by using a various types of chemicals. He further added that we have developed resistance for treatment to overcome this problem and its treatment is available in the market at the cost from 100 U.S dollars to 350 U.S dollars.
