Now, 2G phones will not work with AT&T Network
We expect that you will not plan to use the old iPhone or BlackBerry Pearl on the network of AT&T. The Company had promised in 2012 and confirmed that the Company is closing its 2G services from 1st January 2017. You will be stuck if you are using your phone in making GSM calls and using EDGE for data. This development will not create trouble for more people because some basic phones are now using 3G and LTE since past number of years. You should not blame to a technology that had been around for many years. It will be supposed that newly freed spectrum was for LTE and it would ultimately provide a handsome amount of space for 5G wireless.
It is just as experienced with the end of analog cell service. Now, users should bear a small sacrifice by paying much larger dividends. The step of closing 2G service will be considered a reminder for just how far mobile data has come since the 2G service hit in the United States at the turn of the millennium. The EDGE has been considered more efficient at the time when data of any mobile was relatively novelty. Most of us just did with surfing the most basic websites and checking e-mails. Now, a comparatively modern-sized app or photo download will definitely crush 2G. The modern mobile internet relies on the speed that is essential for a faster magnitude. We can just suppose what would be when 3G involves and the LTE will be considered a baseline.
