US President Donald Trump has criticized the widow of Steve Jobs, Laurene Powell Jobs. Her philanthropy organization Emerson Collective owns The Atlantic magazine. The magazine allegedly reported earlier this week that President Trump made disparaging comments regarding dead American military soldiers. President Donald Trump called on his supporters to “call her, write her, let her know how you feel”. He retweeted a tweet posted by (founder of a right-wing student movement) Charlie Kirk. Donald Trump said, “Steve Jobs would not be happy that his wife is wasting money he left her on a failing Radical Left Magazine that is run by a con man (Goldberg) and spews FAKE NEWS & HATE. Call her, write her, let her know how you feel!!!”

Point to be noted that Kirk is an outspoken Trump supporter and he said in his tweet, “The widow of Steve Jobs – Laurene Powell Jobs donated at least $500,000 to Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden’s campaign this year. Do you know who owns a majority stake in The Atlantic? Laurene Powell Jobs”. It is noteworthy that Powell Jobs is a billionaire and inherited her late husband’s Steven P. Jobs Trust after he died in 2011. She frequently advocates for policies concerning education reform, social redistribution, and environmental conservation. Powell Jobs, is a supporter of the Democratic Party and donated $2 million to Hillary Clinton in the 2016 US presidential election, and raised a further $4 million for her.

The New York Times reported in July that Powell Jobs also donated at least $500,000 to Joe Biden’s campaign when he became the presumptive presidential nominee for the Democratic Party. The Atlantic published an article that described Trump as unwilling to honor the US war dead, earlier this week. The magazine reported President Trump called lost service members and prisoners of war as Losers and Suckers. Trump administration has raged at the allegations, written by the magazine’s editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg. President Trump alleged The Atlantic of Dying and therefore fabricating the story. He has also publicly expressed contempt for service members who died in duty, or who were captured before.
