US President Donald Trump has admitted the victory of Joe Biden. He also started spreading misinformation regarding false allegations of mass voter fraud. Trump later admitted to losing the election and claimed that President-elect Joe Biden only won in the eyes of the Fake News Media. He appeared on Twitter on Sunday morning after days of refusing to concede, Trump said, “He won because the Election was ‘Rigged’”. He also claimed, “There were NO VOTE WATCHERS OR OBSERVERS allowed in the polling places”. His claim is simply not true and can be easily disputed by the witness statements and video evidence of polling place observers watching the ballot count all across the country”.
President Trump has continued to post false statements on social media. These statements were also flagged by social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter for containing misleading information regarding the election. Trump has repeatedly rejected to accept the fact he lost the election. Point to be noted that he filed a series of legal challenges against the electoral process, but failed in key states like Arizona and Pennsylvania. It was due to the law firms representing his campaign pulled out their respective cases. On Friday, President almost admitted to his defeat in a press conference at the White House. Trump again claimed during the election discussion that the vote was Rigged, but failed to provide any evidence.
Donald Trump also said his administration would not enforce lockdown measures to combat the novel virus that has killed nearly 250,000 Americans. He said, “Ideally we won’t go to a lockdown. I will not go. This administration will not be going to a lockdown. Hopefully, whatever happens in the future, who knows which administration it will be, I guess time will tell. But I can tell you this administration will not go to a lockdown”. Moreover, Trump’s campaign falsely claimed that dead voters cast ballots and military families were casting illegal ballots, but in fact, they didn’t. They also falsely said that President Trump could only lose the election if there was mass voter fraud.
