US President Donald Trump has claimed his victory in the 2nd presidential debate against Democratic contender Joe Biden by 89% to 11%. But, he didn’t mention what polling showed the alleged landslide victory. On Saturday morning, the claim was first made by the President in a tweet before he took the stage in Lumberton, North Carolina, for a campaign rally. Trump wrote and said, “Debate Poll Average: 89% Trump, 11% Sleepy Joe Biden”. Just minutes later, he said another poll announced him as victor Biden by even more 91%. He was speaking to the crowd gathered in Lumberton, North Carolina. He said, “That’s when I like polls, when I get them in my favor I like them”.
President added, “When I get them in my favor I say ‘that’s great.’ When they’re not in my favor I don’t discuss them”. It is noteworthy that a CNN instant poll has indicated that 53% of debate watchers thought Joe Biden won the debate over the president. President Trump reportedly got support from 39% of viewers. On Friday, a Politico/Morning Consult flash poll released and showed that 54% of debate watchers believed Joe Biden won the matchup, while 39% said Donald Trump did. Another poll was conducted by YouGov and it found that Biden won 54% to 35% against the sitting US President.

Point to be noted that a Data for Progress progressive poll has suggested the win for the former vice president with 52% of watcher’s support over the 41% support for Donald Trump. A poll also conducted by Fox News and watchers pointed the win for President Trump with 74% support against his rival Joe Biden with 24% support from the respondents. Other online polls also showed the win for President Donald Trump but they are not confident because they allow supporters of a specific candidate to encourage other people to enter the poll. But, the 3rd November 2020 Presidential Election will show the actual support for the next President of the United States.
