US President Donald Trump is criticized by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She went on Twitter and delivered her thoughts regarding President Trump following Tuesday night Presidential debate. She said, “Donald Trump is a white supremacist”. Ocasio-Cortez said that though the signs were always there, those who alleged him of white supremacist sympathies in the past were disfavored. She added, “People have been warning about this for a long time. They were ridiculed, called hyperbolic & radical, not because they were wrong, but because others couldn’t accept that our country elected a supremacist as President. This is fascism at our door”. She made her comments on a retweet of a video clip from the 1st Presidential debate 2020. The video clip shows the moderator Chris Wallace asked Trump if he will condemn white supremacists and militia groups.

President Trump replied and tried to pin violent growth on left-wing activists, like Black Lives Matter and anti-fascists. He pointed to the Proud Boys (an SPLC-designated hate group for creating violence at left-wing rallies) to Stand Back & Stand By. It is noteworthy that Tuesday night wasn’t the first time Ocasio-Cortez suggested the President held fundamentally racist beliefs. She was asked during a 60 Minutes interview in 2016, “Do you believe President Trump is a racist?” She replied and said, “Yeah. Yeah. No question”. Point to be noted that President Donald Trump has failed to distance himself from white supremacist ideology during his time in office.

The US President has recently signed an executive order naming the Ku Klux Klan and Antifa terror organizations. It is important that white conservatives marched with torches and chanted “Jews will not replace us”, during the Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally. But, the rally resulted in the death of left-wing activist Heather Heyer by a right-wing demonstrator. President Trump also assured publicly that there were Good People on both sides. Some Proud Boys have created a meme out of Donald Trump’s words. It appears to find his response as a recommendation for their action.
