The U.S House Speaker Paul Ryan issued a statement after Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that his country didn’t intervene in the U.S elections 2016. Ryan also criticized the U.S President Donald Trump and said that the U.S President should appreciate that Russia is not our ally. This stinging statement was released by the office of U.S speaker after Putin met with Trump in Helsinki followed by the joint news conference of two leaders. Republican U.S Sen. Ron Johnson also rejected Russia’s denial. Ryan said in a statement that there is no question that Russia interfered in our election and continues attempts to undermine U.S democracy and around the world. Ryan added that there is not just the finding of the American intelligence community but also the House Committee on Intelligence. The U.S President must appreciate that Russia is not our ally and there is no moral equivalence between the United States and Russia.
Ryan also said that the United States must be focused on holding Russia accountable and putting an end to its vile attacks on democracy. Johnson said about Putin’s denial of election interference that he is completely wrong because we have documented evidence. Johnson said during an appearance in Milwaukee that the U.S has a bad relationship with Russia due to Russian and Putin’s behavior, so the U.S President should make no mistake about it. The bad behavior of Russia includes invasion of Georgia, the annexation of Crimea, the downing of Malaysia Flight 17, his alliance with (Syria) and Bashir Assad. Johnson said that a better relationship with Russian can only happen after the result of improved Russian behavior. The U.S foreign policy should be uniformly directed to achieve that objective.
