Simple Steps to Turn ON YouTube Comments
There are 4 major settings if you need to turn on comments for video content.
- Allow All Comments option will enable you to immediately view the user’s comments.
- Hold All Comments for Review setting will need you to approve every comment before its visibility in the comment section. The comment will remain in the queue for up to 60 days in the review tab.
- Hold Some Comments for Review option works for comments marked (flagged) as probably improper to the system of YouTube. You can also generate a list of blocked words to hold comments linked to these terms.
- Turn OFF Comments setting will efficiently stop users from leaving comments for video-based content.
It is important that the default setting for comment is ‘Hold Some Comments for Review’. You can also change the comment setting using the following steps.
- Go to your Studio dashboard then click on Settings.
- After opening the setting page, select Upload Defaults.
- Start navigation with the Advanced Settings tab.
- Scroll down to the Comments section and then select Allow All Comments.
Delete Comments of Your YouTube Channel
The platform doesn’t recommend users delete every comment of your content because it is not an effective strategy. Moreover, responding to comments is considered an efficient approach. It would enable you to address the comment and redirect your audience.
You must target spam, hateful, or explicit comments and delete them to save your time.
- First, open ‘YouTube Studio’.
- Then select ‘Comments’ from the sidebar.
- Filter comments using published comments.
- Then, tap the ‘More’ option to see the option to delete the comment.
- Then, select the ‘Delete’ option and return to the ‘Comments’ section.
Turn OFF Comments on YouTube Channel
You will find 2 ways to turn off comments on YouTube for the channel-level and the video-level contents. Users can also turn off comments on a specific video during the uploading process. The following steps will enable you to disable channel-level comments.
- Go to your ‘Studio’ dashboard and click on ‘Settings’.
- Then select ‘Upload Defaults’.
- Start navigation with the ‘Advanced Settings’ tab.
- Then scroll down to the ‘Comments’ section.
- You can then select ‘Disable comments’ and click ‘Save’.
You should perform a couple of additional tasks for the video-level comments. People can also change comment settings after uploading their video content.
- Go to the ‘Details’ tab of the upload and scroll down to the Show more option.
- Then select ‘Disable Comments’ under the ‘Comments and Ratings’ option.
Resolving the issue of Comments Not Loading
Your slow or irresponsive internet connection can generate the problem. The comment section will not load efficiently if your connection isn’t dependable or slow.
Using a different viewport is another reason for the not loading problem. However, YouTube comments load automatically on the web app. You should tap on the mobile app to view the comments section.
