Tesla Plans to Expand its Superchargers Store Across UK
Recently the Tesla has a plan to expand its Superchargers network all around the UK, the opening store is not operational in Birmingham and in coming six months the whole chain around the UK will be done. Surprisingly the model S owners will get free charge up of their cars on these Superstations. On the completion of the network after six months the model S drivers will be able to drive from one end of the country to the second by just using Superchargers.
Superchargers are the high power charging stations that charge the Tesla cars with 120kW power for just 30 minutes and promised to drive for 170 miles, although home charging will give you the 11 miles for the same time. These are petrol free stations that are free for Tesla. The Birmingham charging station is located just a kilometer away from the famous Bullring shopping center. Other than Birmingham other stations will be in Edinburgh, Reading, Bristol, while there’s a bunch in London: Royal Victoria Dock, Canary Wharf, Tower Bridge, White City and Portman Square.
It is might be a great news for you that you will be able to drive through the cities so easy without fuel expense. But you need to keep one thing in mind that Superchargers are free stations only for Tesla cars. And Tesla Model S cars cost more than £49,500. This is much pricey to just get the free fuel for the rides. The company is not a fool in fact it is an amazing strategy by the company. In 2015 Tesla is going to launch Model X that is a larger in size and fit for the family, its initial deposits is around £4000.
