The Florida Beaches are Under-Attack by Sea-Lice
A number of popular posts on social media websites claimed in the month of June 2016 that “Sea Lice” had attacked at the beaches in Florida. Point to be noted that Sea Lice term is not widely spread among most of the social media users living in the Northern States and these types of messages were considered as disbelief. It is important that these posts collected contents from the articles of original news outlets. The purple flags have been popped up all over the Florida panhandle due to invisible irritation causing headache for beach visitors. It has been confirmed that Sea lice (also called as Beach lice) have been found at Santa Rosa Beaches and South Walton, and supposedly moving towards Alabama.
Sea Lice are impossible to see virtually underwater, so it is very difficult to track their movement. These invisible creatures stuck underneath bathing suits and causes rash, which is called “Eruption of Sea-bather”. The alleged claim that these hidden creatures have attacked at the southern shores in the United States was considered fabrication. Most of the readers assumed that this is a new phenomenon. Originally, the term “Sea-Lice” has been used since 1950s, the researchers stated the term “Eruption of Sea-bather” due to there was an unrelated marine parasite called “Sea Louse”. The Sea-Lice term was originally generated during 1950s and this term used by the local residents in the U.S. The term Sea-Lice refer to the larval form of various stinging marine creatures. It is important that “Eruption of Sea-bather” caused by the larvae of jellyfish.
