The U.S President Donald Trump wrote on Twitter to blame the “fake news” media of doing “everything in their power” to accuse Republicans and himself for “division and hatred” across the country when it is the media that is “causing problems far greater”. The statement of Trump came just a day after the U.S was rocked by a mass shooting in a Pittsburgh synagogue, killing 11 people in the incident. Trump said, “The Fake News is doing everything in their power to blame Republicans, Conservatives and me for the division and hatred that has been going on for so long in our Country”. He added, “Actually, it is their Fake and Dishonest reporting which is causing problems far greater than they understand!” he said.
While Trump did not provide detail on the allegation, he made his comments just days after blaming at the media over its reporting on a series of bomb scares. The U.S bomb threat includes suspicious packages mailed out to a number of high-profile Trump defamers, including former U.S President Barack Obama and former U.S Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Last week, the CNN’s New York office was evacuated after receiving one of the suspicious packages. The U.S Vice President Mike Pence denied the suggestion that Trump’s political rhetoric contributed to divisions and violence in the United States. The suspect Cesar Sayoc Jr was arrested on suspicion of sending out the bombs. He was taken into custody in Plantation, Florida. Sayoc was reportedly arrested near a van covered in bumper stickers expressing support for Trump and the Republican Party. Trump lambasted journalists at a rally in Charlotte, North Carolina. He blamed the media of using “the sinister acts of one individual to score political points against me and the Republican Party”.
