Trump criticized Fox News suggesting his followers to find New News Outlet
The U.S President Donald Trump has criticized Fox News in a tirade on Twitter. He attacked the conservative news network for hiring a Democrat as a commentator. Trump urged his followers to find a new News Outlet. Trump claimed that Fox News was promoting Democrats and said that Donna Brazile (a former Democratic National Committee chairwoman who is now a Fox contributor) had on Wednesday been spewing out whatever she wanted with zero pushback by anchor Sandra Smith. He then attacked other prominent figures at the channel. These figures are known for its conservative slant and have been heavily favored by Trump in the past, including Juan Williams, and Shep Smith.
Trump wrote in his tweet, “The new @FoxNews is letting millions of GREAT people down! We have to start looking for a new News Outlet. Fox isn’t working for us anymore”! The suggestion of Trump that a news outlet should only air news that is favorable to him was quickly renounced online. a senior Fox political analyst, Brit Hume hit back on twitter and said, “Fox News isn’t supposed to work for you.
A contributor to the channel and political editor of the conservative news website Town Hall, Guy Benson said, “We don’t work for you”. The tweetstorm comes as Trump has built-up tension in recent weeks with the Fox News network, which airs the morning show, Fox & Friends. The U.S President is known to watch in the mornings and tweet regarding throughout the day. Trump appears to be concerned in large part by the hiring of Brazile. He has repeatedly claimed gave debate questions to his former political rival Hillary Clinton before they sparred during the U.S Presidential election 2016.
