Trump rampages over Democrat’s impeachment during live TV speech
U.S President Donald Trump called his impeachment and the Russia investigation “evil and corrupt”. He delivered his words during a televised White House speech to supporters and the nation. It is important that his Republican allies in the Senate acquitted him yesterday on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Trump said, “It was evil, it was corrupt, it was all bulls***”. He criticized Democrats over former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report. He went after Senator Mitt Romney, the lone Republican to vote for his removal, who cited his Mormon faith as a reason because he swore an oath to god before the trial began. Trump claimed that Romney used religion as a crutch.
The East Room fell silent as he ripped into Romney. Trump said, “Things can happen when you fail so badly running for President”. It is noteworthy that Jerry Nadler yesterday predicted that House Democrats would be likely to impeach him again. Trump assured House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy that he would soon be speaker because voters would punish Democrats over the impeachment affair in November 2020. The president also called House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff a Vicious Politician. He also called Speaker Nancy Pelosi a Horrible Person. Trump said these are vicious people.
The president called House Democrats’ investigation of the Ukraine matter and vote to impeachment him as “evil and corrupt”. He alleged Democrats of making up facts. He also apologized to his entire family and said, “I want to thank my family for sticking through it. This was not part of the deal”. He added, “It should never happen to another president, ever. I can tell you at a minimum, you got to focus on this because it can get away from you very quickly. We’ve all been through a lot together. It’s been a very unfair situation”. Point to be noted that Democrats needed to testify the acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney in the impeachment investigation and trial. But he was first blocked by the White House then the U.S Senate Republicans.
