U.S President Donald Trump is expected to avert more billions of dollars to construct the border wall. He repeatedly claimed that Mexico has to pay the cost to build border wall. Reports indicate his 2021 budget proposals will supposedly request $2 billion for the anti-immigration barrier. The supposed amount is less than collected in previous years. So, the U.S Department of Homeland Security will get billions more from the Pentagon. A senior defense official said that an important announcement will take place during this week. He said, a big, beautiful wall was one of the centerpieces of Trump’s 2016 campaign. He always promised there will be a border wall and Mexico will pay to construct U.S-Mexico border wall. But, Mexico had openly rejected to do so.

Point to be noted that U.S Congress is responsible for government spending but the priorities of the U.S President will be considered politically specifically ahead of his reelection bid in November 2020. He is expected to propose up to $4.6 billion in spending cuts over the next 10 years, as well as money for the construction of border wall, much of it from programs such as Medicaid, food stamps, and disability insurance. The Washington Post reported the U.S government data suggested the Trump administration was a long way from finalizing the 500 miles of new barriers the president had promised it would be in place by 2021.

Most of the border is considered to be replacement of fencing due to constructing new sections of wall normally needs the acquisition of private land. The officials of Homeland Security have said they will have 450 miles either completed or under construction, but will be finalized by the end of 2020. The President took $2.5 billion last year from anti-drug program of the U.S military budget in order to construct the wall. The Washington Post claimed at least $7.2 billion could be diverted from the Pentagon help to construct the wall and the figure could be much higher during this year.
