Trump will announce Final candidate as the New President of U.S Supreme Court
The U.S President Donald Trump has shortened his options to just 4 candidates for the nomination announcement on Monday. The final 4 options Trump is looking for the post are Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh, Thomas Hardiman, and Raymond Kethledge. The announcement is scheduled to be held in the East Room of White House at 9 p.m. Eastern time during a prime-time address. Hardiman was runner-up to Neil Gorsuch last year in the race of Supreme Court President. It made a quick return on the shortlist of Trump. Point to be noted that Judge Maryanne Trump Barry is the sister of President Trump. Barry also serves with Hardiman on the U.S Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit. Now short time is left for the final announcement. Trump has been consulting with his advisers, family, and friends.
Trump said during boarding Air Force One that he is much closer to making a decision and he will decide tonight or tomorrow and it will be announced at 9 o’clock. He added that there are finally 4 people and they are all excellent. There was a list of 25 administration-approved judges and one member of U.S Congress Leonard Leo (executive vice president of the Federalist Society and top Supreme Court adviser of Trump). Leo said in a press interview that he is very confident with the enthusiasm of President Trump and with the Leader McConnell. Liberal groups have prepared to protect Roe v. Wade following the Supreme Court case that sustained the abortion rights of women. The NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue said that anyone coming onto the Supreme Court should remember to sustain the law of the land, especially the right of a woman to decide what happens to her own body.
