On Monday, the inspector general’s office issued a statement that inspector general of the U.S Defense Department has initiated an investigation into wrongdoing accusations against the physician of White House, Ronny Jackson. Point to be noted that Jackson is a rear admiral of U.S Navy and he was appointed by the U.S President Donald Trump in March as veteran’s affairs secretary. But, Jackson was expelled from his job just after one month due to allegations he had administered an aggressive work environment as the physician of White House. He was allegedly found drank on the job and approved overprescribing of drugs, but he has rejected the allegations. The spokesman for the office of inspector general said in a statement that Inspector General of the U.S Department of Defense has opened an investigation regarding the allegations on Rear Admiral Ronny L. Jackson.

Democrats on the U.S Senate Affairs Committee for Veterans have indicated that 23 former and current aides have submitted their allegations against Jackson for prescribing medications himself. He also had drunk at a party of Secret Service. Jackson pulled his name out of consideration to lead the Veterans Affairs Department after Democratic Sen Jon Tester (the Veterans’ Affairs Committee’s ranking Democrat) publicly released a collection of allegations against him. He was alleged of overprescribing sleeping pills, drinking while on duty and presiding over a hostile work environment. Jackson returned to work in the White House Medical Unit, but lost his slot as Trump’s personal doctor to another Navy officer named Sean Conley. Jackson has worked as a presidential physician since 2006. He was promoted in 2013 by former President Barack Obama in 2013 to become the physician to the U.S president.
