Was There Mass Shooting Event at South Carolina Nightclub?
In the consequences of a high-profile shooting incident at Orlando Nightclub in the month of June 2016, another shooting incident took place at a night club in Lyman, South Carolina. This news was widely circulated with a claim that a supposedly legally armed club-visitor stopped happening of another mass shooting event. This event was mentioned as stopping the mass shooting incident by a citizen carrying legal fire-arm. It is important that all the signs indicated that gunman was not trying to kill multiple or all the people on the spot. The television station WIS of Columbia, South Carolina indicated that the suspect was engaged in argument with another club-member and suddenly he pulled out his gun and started shooting on a crowd in the front of club.
At least three people were injured in this incident and it seems as a gun owner carrying legal permit was stopping the alleged shooter from wounding or killing more people. It is important that nobody considered this incident as “mass shooting event” because one or more armed men involve in killing a large number of people. But, this scenario mentioned an irresponsible gun owner pulled out his weapon after raising a dispute. Point to be noted that someone didn’t bring a gun to a public place with pre-planning in order to execute massive shooting. Shooting incidents were not considered as mass shooting prior to the mass shooting event took place at Orlando Nightclub.
