Why Facebook Censored Live-Video of Anti-Pipeline Activists?
The Unicorn Riot said that Facebook had censored their live stream of their protest against the Dakota Access Pipeline and Facebook deleted the link of Livestream.com just before two of their reporters arrested on that place. Point to be noted that Facebook has experienced a very hard time about publishing political material. The debugger of Facebook stressed that the provided link address violating the community standards. You may guess that Facebook was not agreed with the concept that there was any kind of threatening of motivations. It generated alerts to the Motherboard that its auto spam filter generated an error pulling the link.
It is important that social network giant Facebook restored the added link after they finalized their entire investigation and apologized for this inconvenience. Facebook said, “We sometimes experience that things going wrong, so this step was essential, but we have reached to comment and we will let you know if there is something more to add”. Point to be noted that millions of posts goes in spam every week. There were some evidences appeared to support the claim of Facebook, but the incident is still underscores problems whenever it publish politically sensitive material. Most of the material is ban such as Terror of War photographs or misleading posts such as shooting of Philando Castile. Facebook has more than 1.7 billion users and this media has been considered one of the most powerful places to share your content online.
