Why Invitation of Meyer Canceled by the U.S Ambassador?

A website “Tribunist” reported on 12th November 2016 that the son-in-law of former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin and the recipient of Congressional Medal of Honor, Dakota Meyer had been invited to participate in the 241st birthday celebration of Marine Corps at the U.S Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan. But, his invitation was canceled at the last minute by the Obama administration due to some political reasons. All the arrangements were being finalized, but it was informed to the recipient of Medal Honor that he will not come to the ceremony. It was assumed that Meyer had delivered critic words for Obama administration. The U.S ambassador P. Michael McKinley directed to his chief of mission to “Look Into” the Medal of Honor recipient according to the report on political views of Meyer. So, he decided not to invite him inside the U.S embassy.

It is important that Meyer informed in a telephonic interview that the U.S ambassador doesn’t like my position and comments about administration, but it is my right and blocking me to the American embassy is the right of ambassador. Meyer has served in saving a large number of U.S and Afghan troops during a massive ambush in 2009 in the province of Kunar and awarded Medal of Honor. He was honorably discharged in 2010 from the U.S Marines. He is also the writer of a book regarding his experiences during combat as the U.S Marine. He got married in June 2016 with Bristol Palin (daughter of Sarah Palin). It has been confirmed that Meyer was invited in the Marine Corps ball ceremony in the U.S embassy in Afghanistan, but stopped his invitation by the U.S ambassador.
